Excellent product
I explored DIY in putting this shelve together. the instructions were pretty straightforward. just a point to add once all the internal levels have been fixed, the manufacturer should provide a customized to put it on before affixing 4,1,and 3. Overall i like the product and it beautified our sitting area

Shelving unit
Overall this is a good unit for the price. However, be warned it’s a nightmare to assemble! Some of the fixings didn’t quite fit/work. Did come together and was sturdy once sides, top and bottom on though.

Tricky build
Looks good but very tricky to assemble

Great quality
Lovely piece of furniture, it did take a while to build as other people's comments, it did help that the parts were numbered and it will require 2 people and a lot of patients. But for the price I was very impressed with the quality, very sturdy and great quality. It gets a lot of compliments.

It might look good but it’s a painful journey!
This flat pack bookcase looks very nice now that it’s built but it was a painful journey and the quality of fixtures, and the design of components, is very poor. But for a start it has to be said that the instructions supplied are truly, truly dreadful. Presented in an A5 booklet the diagrams are far too small to be helpful and you wouldn’t know it at the time but different surfaces are represented by subtle shading. You can barely detect this in such small images and as a result there is much trial, error and dismantling and reassembly until you get the parts in the right order. Nothing is mentioned but the parts are actually numbered but not obviously and this should have been made clearer. One other issue to raise is that the fixtures that connect the shelves are slightly misaligned or of the wrong length, and the “twist-lock” connectors of very low grade metal. The combination leads to insecure connections and in one or two cases, broken parts. Thankfully I was able to improvise in a satisfactory way with spare parts I had from previous flat pack assemblies, but in truth I should have quit , packed up the parts and returned. But I wanted the bookcase so made it work. In the end I’ve made a very attractive bookshelf, but no thanks to Argos and their shoddy merchandise! I think it was claimed that it would take 4 hours to build with two people. I was on my own and it took all day! Thankfully I took the day off work! Overall, a product that should have been better designed and certainly not worthy of the Habitat name. Sir Terrance would not have been impressed! No wonder it was half price! Buyer beware.

Worst nightmare
Impossible to put together, instructions not clear, fittings are just not right

Something different from the normal bookcase/shelf
So happy now it is up. It ended up being about a 4 hr build once instructions were deciphered. Really heavy. Fits perfectly.

As expected
Instructions were easy enough to follow, and I was able to assemble this on my own. Looks great and fits with my decor. Overall, I'm very happy with it
