Very useful.
I bought this to replace another truck gps. It’s very good. The live traffic and the way that phone messages come up in the screen is very useful.

I’ve had a garmin car satnav before so thought it was logical to upgrade to the truck nav. I am well impressed it’s easy to set up different size trucks and also switches to car mode. I would definitely recommend it to any trucker

It's a great piece of tech for HGV drivers.
I've had this device for a week. It's truly delivered on being worth the purchase. Since then i've been routed around M6 closures, jammed up motorways and sent around the motorway network to get me back with 30 minutes to spare. You will need to download an application for your phone to get the most of this Satnav, as it uses your phone for the live traffic updates (via bluetooth) Be aware that if you've just left as the motorways are closing at night, you'll be routed towards them (live traffic updates take time). So remember to toggle off motorway routing and you'll find it will more than likely route you past the closure on a route that's also got the diversion signs. This device has wifi and uses it to update. Do not do this over phone data, it will take upwards of 1 hour and 45 minutes and it deletes the maps on the device before starting. Use an actual hardwired net connection and its around 30+ minutes. (This warning is for people who want to buy it and update it straight out of the box because they need it ASAP) This device uses a mini USB B connector for power, not a type C. It will continue the route if it loses power. So if you get out the cab and the 12v cuts off, you're still good to go. Features: 1) The Voice controls are great. You can cancel routes or change destination if you want to find rest stops on the way. All without manual input. 2) Profiles for Bus, Class 1 and Class 2. 3) Multi drop and Coach drivers will appreciate the trip planner. Just add your destinations in what order you want and save them. 4) The driving time and break planner / reminder might appeal to some drivers. (i turned this off due to me not needing them, as the most HGVs will show you driving time on the display) 5) Having your text messages on screen (they take up the right side of the screen) might also appeal to some. 6) The next track popup and music controls are okay, provided you're playing tracks through your phone. Can't skip tracks with voice commands. 7) Unfortunately I haven't tested the handsfree as i run a bluetooth earpiece. 8) Adding favourites and changing the destination is easy. On the route preview screen just tap the map, then tap anywhere and hit go to start calculating a route. Great for when the postcode is off by some degrees or the depot entrance is actually further down the road than expected. For adding favourites you can use the button in the left corner after you've hit the info button and its giving you a route preview. You can also add favourites to the home screen so in two taps you're on the way back to base. 9) The tethering for the live traffic update is via bluetooth (uses phone data) and the Garmin Dezl application can also use your phones location to triangulate it's position faster. (You will need to make a Garmin account for this) 10) The popular lorry routes and popular lorry destinations might also be useful to high HGV traffic areas. Unfortunately it's a slighty different colour from the main road and easily confused if you're colourblind. (You can toggle this off) 11) The rest stop and shop location popups are great, alongside the incredibly useful petrol station feature (with prices and nearest). Unfortunately some new petrol stations aren't listed. If you just want a pure satnav experience, you can turn off all the extra screen info popups in settings so it's just pure maps with the live traffic route updates only popping up on screen. 12) You can have the vehicle profiles set so the truck can use toll roads and when you get back to your car the toll setting is off. 13) Adding vehicle dimensions is easy as it asks which vehicle you're using when you turn it on. Just tap the dimensions to adjust them before entering the main menu, or tap the truck on the top of the screen to change vehicle mode. 14) THE BEST FEATURE IMO: Omitting roads. Either by road name or by selecting custom so you can add a start point and a finish point on the map. Absolutely great for avoiding those roads that are RAMMED or a pain to navigate. 15) You can crank the volume up even further in the options using the mixer setting, so you can actually hear the instructions. 16) It can list and find all available restaurants in the area. Same with hotels, parking and other points of interest. Great for road trips in the car or coach as it lists theme parks too.

Purchase needed for new role
Bought this as I moved within my company. Worked fine at first but started getting glitches. Wouldn't display current speed limit for road I was on. Tried to get help from Garmin via X. No help really. Took back for replacement to Argos. Store said their policy was to send me to Garmin and wouldn't exchange so I went to a different Argos store and those were great! Swapped it for a replacement unit. Working fine now.
