Good drive, shame no software.
Bought this as a last minute purchase as an online order failed to show, be aware this is just a bare drive, would of been 5 stars if it had come bundled with software, this pny drive does not qualify for the free PNY software suite on registration, so had to make alternative arrangements, not a drive for first timers.

Fast, reliable replacement for older, smaller driv
I wanted to replace the disk in a usb hub for a SSD , more because I didn't want the power draw and possibility of mechanical failure. This drive is so much faster and quick to respond, even after waking from power save mode. Although only 250gb, it is plenty for my requirements and is expected to last a long time, especially as it has a 3 year warranty.

Great reliable SSD drive at a good price
Great reliable SSD drive at a good price and a light weight. Bought it to use it as a spare External Backup hard drive. To use it as an external drive, a USB to Sata 2.5" hard drive adapter lead cable is needed. The new drive will need to be Initialised, formatted etc. using Disk Management, in Windows 10/11 before use.

Works very well. If you're used to a spinning rust mechanical hard disk, this will be a revelation. Knocked a star off because the packaging was quite tatty. How long have these been on a shelf?

This is suitable for use in any device which uses a 2.5inch SATA hard drive - this does include many laptops and desktops, although the latter may need a specialised 3.5inch to 2.5inch adapter depending on the specific case.
For some more recent devices you may instead have M.2 storage, which uses a different mSATA connection on the motherboard and is not interchangeable with an SSD like this one.
Please check the specifics of your PC for which it currently has.

“ The CS 900 is not compatible with any consoles and is instead designed to be used as an internal SSD by computers. Consequently, it would not work with a PS5. ”
