Lindam by Munchkin Extending Natural Wooden baby stair gate or dog stair gate is constructed from strong natural hardwood. The extra-wide baby gate features a one or two way opening for maximum flexibility and safety. The no step-over bar makes it the perfect option for use on stairs, or in doorways, and it features a unique tilting hinge mechanism which is designed to put less stress on walls. The tilt-and-lift handle is easy for adult one-handed opening, but difficult for children.

Tricky installation
The locking mechanism was fouling our null cap as a little higher than the opposite hinge which is a pain, as it means to use as intended it means lowering the gate to skirting board height which is proud from the wall so packers may need to be used. The hinge and catch are also offset so factor this on when marking out your wall/ null post.

Needs a professional to fit, useless Instructions
I’m not fantastic at installing things, but I’m also not an idiot. But this was impossible. The instructions made absolutely no sense and far more hassle than it’s worth

We use this at our nursery. It’s a little tricky to operate one handed but overall it is good quality. It is sturdy and decent looking

Gate was easy to fit and works well with one hand. Especially like that it can easily be removed when not in use as we got it for our grandson’s visits.

Good Gate for stairs
This gate is great because you don't have to step over anything to go through it. As I was my parents might trip going and down. And good for stopping young children and Elderly from falling down the stairs.

Assuming there are no other hindrances to the gate on the hinged side, e.g. the angle of the wall, etc. this should be able to open to 90 degrees.

This is designed so that it’s hinged on the one side. You don’t need lift the entire thing off to be able to go through it.
