The 418–432 mm measurement is the overall front-to-back length, while 139–172 mm is only the adjustable hinge fixing spacing.

To fit the Chester Sta-tite seat you will need an adjustable spanner or a 13mm spanner for use after tightening the Statite nut by hand.
