The Bemis Chester toilet seat with patented Ultra-Fix is designed for universal pans. Adjustable to fit most toilets. Ultra-Fix is a patented fixing system that doesn't loosen and is quick to install. The bottom of the nut snaps off at the optimum tightening torque, locking the seat down perfectly tight. The ring and cover are recyclable. This seat is proudly made in Burnley, Lancashire.

No frills, does the job!
No frills inexpensive toilet seat bought for our downstairs toilet. Easy fit and didn’t take long to fit. The seat fitted a standard size toilet pan with leeway, but make sure you measure correctly beforehand as you (understandably) wouldn’t be able to return after opening. It’s a lighter weight lid so not suitable for sitting on top of for chats in the main bathroom! It has stayed firmly in place.

Doesn't budge
Bought this as I've had more trouble with toilet seats that I care to mention! Two month on and it's still on and staying put. So definitely worth the money and the service it provides!!

This toilet seat is very poor quality. It's to hard to.fix it. The holes doesn't even fit. We have to drill it. I don't know why people put so good reviews about this useless item. Very disappointed.

Our supplier has advised that the Bemis Chester Toilet Seat with Ultra-Fix - White has a slightly adjustable width with the distance being 13.9cm to 17.2cm. It should fit 15mm mounting holes.

To fit the Chester Sta-tite seat you will need an adjustable spanner or a 13mm spanner for use after tightening the Statite nut by hand.

Our supplier has confirmed of the following for the Bemis Chester STA-TITE Toilet Seat.
As long as you follow the proper cleaning instructions, it's not likely to stain. Only use warm soapy water (e.g. washing-up liquid) and a soft cloth to clean the surface and hinges. Do not use harsh abrasives or cleaners containing bleach or alcohol to clean it as this can damage the surface of the seat and this hinge. Such damage is not covered in the warranty.

We asked the supplier for you.
They say "There is no adjustment that can be made to the hinges, however, please advise your customer to first try applying a few drops of neat washing up liquid to the hinge joints and allowing this to work in over at least 48 hours. The seat can still be used but it must not be forcefully closed.
The Chester is not a slow-close model so they may also want to check that the bolts/fixings have been placed and tightened exactly vertical through the pan holes and that there is no tension placed on the hinges by incorrect fitting."
