Ok if you get it when on sale.
Very noisy on start up and shut down. There seems to be a lot of water wasted. We use a tub to collect the flush water but you still get clean water in the drip tray. Sometimes when using ground coffee it just falls straight though and the machine fails to work. Settings. Customisation. Adding this text just because review would not submit. Crema Strong. A machine which makes excellent hot coffee and is easy to use once you get it set up. I downloaded complete instructions from the De'longhi website and spent a considerable time (hours) getting all the various settings to the levels which suited our tastes. Having done so, I am very pleased and it is convenient that it will make your coffee as you like it.

Having checked I can see this does not make Latte's. I have sent this off to be amended. This can make Espresso, Long Coffee (Americano), Cappuccino and Hot Water (for Tea, Hot Chocolate, etc).

Having checked the manual I can see there is an option to use pre ground coffee to make one cup at a time. If you have caffeinated beans loaded in the machine but want to make one decaf drink this would be the best option. Details on how to use this function are included in the manual that comes in the box.

To make a Flat White, grind your espresso beans and brew a double shot of espresso.
Steam 100-150ml of milk, to achieve the appropriate texture.
Pour the steamed milk over the espresso, maintaining a quarter inch thick layer of the milk on top.

Yes, you can make americanos and, also, make a white americano. It has a milk carafe from which you can add the milk. However, you could just as easily make a black americano and add the milk afterwards straight from a carton or bottle instead if you so wished.
