Through no fault of Argos, after having two other tins of Manhattan Gray which was perfect. After getting it home and opening it, it was the wrong paint in the can a gloss paint in dark grey. I am still in contact with Johnson's trying to get a replacement, while they investigate how this has happened.

Absolute nightmare
Collected 2 tins to paint some doors but the poor coverage meant a 3rd tin was needed. The 3rd tin was a completely different shade & it turned out the original 2 tins were faulty paint & the incorrect colour. I've got to paint them all again & Argos only agreed to swap 1 faulty tin. I've complained to Argos & await reply.

After contacting our suppliers they have advised for Johnstone's Quick Dry Satin Paint 750ML - Manhattan Grey.
Our Quick Dry Satin is not suitable for foot traffic on stairs. For areas that are NOT floors, the product would require an MDF primer for bare substrates.

High-temperature appliance paint or a specialized metal paint for kitchen appliances would be more suitable for painting an extractor fan.

''There is no technical reason why this product can't be used on kitchen cupboards as long as the surface is prepared correctly and has been suitable primed.
Please note we have got a product specifically for cupboards in a kitchen in our range.''

Hello Meg. The Johnstone's Quick Dry Satin Paint 750ML can be used on wood and metal including skirting boards, doors, radiators and staircases. As long as the cupboards and furniture are either metal or wood then this will ok.

This is a water based paint and does not require the use of white spirit to clean brushes, they can be cleaned with just water.
Only oil based paint require the use of white spirits.

The supplier has advised the following for the Johnstone's Quick Dry Satin Paint 750ML - Manhattan Grey:
"I would not advise using this product on a plastered wall surface. This product is designed to be applied to sealed wood and metal surfaces. Previously painted walls are often quite porous and I don’t feel the paint would perform as well as we would like."
