Great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This iron steam generator is great. The iron was easy to handle. It takes about 2 minutes for the machine to heat up. It holds 1.4l of water so it's great if you are doing alot of clothes. My only gripe is that I would have preferred a longer lead

Awful Iron
It deserves no stars but unfortunately that's not allowed. Really disappointed with this iron, produces little steam which seems to be delayed. Could barely even iron a shirt to a satisfactory standard. I do not recommend & suggest it is avoided. Once used you are unable to return so I am now stuck with an expensive mistake.

Great replacement
This replaced my previous tefal model. It's a good iron, I liked the on off switch at the front with the light to say when it's ready. The tank will last for ages and it's quite quiet compared to the last one. The sole plate is ceramic and can catch on high heat so try it on 2 first as the steam does the work. The leads are nice and long so no problem there. Recommended for people needing a lighter iron.

Very rough sole plate
Nice iron till you go to use it. The sole plate is very rough compared to our old Philips one. The cord is about 1 foot too short. So it was returned.

Great Iron
This is a fantastic iron easy to use and the instructions easy to follow not a heavy iron that when both of us heading to 70 is fantastic so we would fully recommend thank you

Fantastic Iron, seams to perfection
It was all worthy £110, the design is sleek and unlike many cheap alternatives, the seam works perfectly and it does not leak water like Niagara Falls!!

Fantastic iron
This is a great product at a great price. I should have bought this sooner.

Cheap but disappointing
Sole plate stuck to clothes regardless how cool it was and steam was a bit wheezy. It’s really just a regular steam iron with a large remote water tank. If you’ve had a proper steam generator this will be a disappointment. If you’re upgrading from a regular iron it’s probably a slight improvement. Replaced a 10 year old dead Bosch steam generator which was hugely better. Sadly they don't make them anymore. Returned this one.

Not as good as the original model
I bought this because I’d had the same brand for a few years and wanted another to replace my old one . It’s not as good as the original because the steam shot takes too long to work and there isn’t any way to secure the iron to the water reservoir when you want to store it . Bit disappointed to be honest .

Hello Miz! The Smart Calc Clean function on the Philips PSG2000/20 is an automatic descaling system that helps keep your steam generator working efficiently.
When it's time to descale, the iron will beep and the Calc-Clean light will flash. Just follow these steps:
1. Fill the water tank halfway.
2. Place the iron on the Calc-Clean container (included in the box).
3. Press and hold the Calc-Clean button for a few seconds.
4. The cleaning cycle takes about 2 minutes and will beep again when it's done.
It's quick, easy, and helps maintain great steam performance over time. Hope this helps!
