No good for family use
Not as good as my last iron steam is too slow to disperse wno good for a family water tank not very big and for the first time in all my ironing life (60th) I burnt an item with this iron all my other irons have not needed to cool down before attempting a slight smoother clothing. Plus there is no catch to secure the iron to the base when not in use and the cord is untidy when stored away

No steam
No steam while using the iron , doesn't glide , feels really heavy , temperature keeps changing, I have to keep altering the gauge on the same piece of clothing .Worse iron I've ever used. Really laborious.

Excellent steam iron
This is an excellent steam iron It's lightweight with a spout to make filling it really easy. The transparent tank has a large capacity which will easily do a couple of baskets of washing without needing a refill. The dial is clearly marked and one can iron a range of fabrics from jeans to silk blouses.

Hello Miz! The Smart Calc Clean function on the Philips PSG2000/20 is an automatic descaling system that helps keep your steam generator working efficiently.
When it's time to descale, the iron will beep and the Calc-Clean light will flash. Just follow these steps:
1. Fill the water tank halfway.
2. Place the iron on the Calc-Clean container (included in the box).
3. Press and hold the Calc-Clean button for a few seconds.
4. The cleaning cycle takes about 2 minutes and will beep again when it's done.
It's quick, easy, and helps maintain great steam performance over time. Hope this helps!
