Ooooh
I bought this at the end of last winter so didn't use it until a few weeks ago. Why didn't I buy one before. It is sooo warm and snuggley. I don't have mine on a high number, I just use it to take the chill off the bed. You can have it on both sides of the bed, or just the one side, also there is a different temperature for body and feet. Ooooh so nice. Would highly recommend

Warm and comfortable
After trying others this electric blanket is worth the money. Warm all the way to your toes and you can't feel the wires. Secure fitting to the mattress.

Very good but one niggle
I like this blanket because it heats all the way to the bottom (ie foot end) of the bed. I had a previous blanket, from another manufacturer, that left the last 5cm unheated. Even better with this Snuggledown, I can set the body & feet temps separately; also both sides independently. There are ten heat settings for each of the 4 areas. The controllers are effortless and straightforward. HOWEVER, in a dark room at (say) 2am, it's impossible to see the display without putting a room light on. Conversely, touching any button, the light from the switch is way too intense in my pitch-black house. C'mon Snuggledown, you need to do more work on this but NOT under laboratory lights.

A well designed electric blanket
I wanted a blanket that had separate controls for each sleeper (double size). It fits a standard double mattress very well right to the edges and the wide elastic straps at each corner are much easier than tie strings that go under the mattress. The controls are easy to use. When switched on, both the body area and the foot area come on at the highest setting (9). You simply press the up/down buttons for each area to choose the setting you want or turn one area off completely. You can also select how long the blanket stays on. It heats up quickly, although even on 9 it doesn't get as warm/hot as I expected (hence the 4 stars), but everyone's expectations are different, and it certainly takes the chill off. Soft and comfortable to lay on. Thankfully the connection for the power cable is not where you lie as on many other blankets. A very nice winter warmer.

Very versatile item
Great product. Easy to fit with corner straps. Choice of heat for main blanket and feet. Timer is really useful as well. This was a replacement for a cheaper blanket but is well worth the extra cost.

It's fine. Good for pre-heating at bedtime
I originally bought this because the switch was on the wrong side of the bed on the one I had. I like the timer, and the temperature options. I usually turn it down to 50-60 degrees, and sometimes reduce the area. All-in-all I'm enjoying it enormously.

Takes a bit of getting used to.
This is the third electric under-blanket we've had (different brands) so we're used to the 'concept' and know that some take a while to heat up. This is no exception - we allow at least an hour. The controls are less user-friendly than those for our last blanket, probably in a bid for maximum flexibility (temperature, area - body or feet - and time period for each side), and have to be reset every time after switching off. However, the blanket is a very cosy, comfortable mattress topper, and once warm, it does make the bed very snuggly, which will be lovely on a really cold night. I also especially like the fact that you can zip off the cover to wash it - ie, without having to wash the whole blanket; which should make it last longer. I paid less for it than the current listing (maybe because it was last winter's stock, and in slightly different packaging?) and for the price I paid, I think it is very good value.
