Brilliant Slow Cooker!
I bought this to replace another brand of Slow Cooker that I bought and that only lasted a few weeks before the non-stick coating started coming off. I have had Crockpots in the past and don’t know why I deviated from this brand as they are the best. This cooks food to perfection and results are so tender. I have found other slow cookers do not cook quite as slowly as expected and there is more of a simmer going on but the Crockpot cooks so very slowly that provides better results. It’s great that the inner pot is removable so you can sear things on the stove which it’s fully compatible with - even induction hobs. It automatically switches to the keep warm function and will keep food hot for a further 4 hours after cooking which is a great function to have. It’s also has a great capacity being 6.5L and you can get loads of food in it, perfect for a big stew. I am extremely happy with this and just sorry I wasted my time with the other brand as there’s really no comparison in performance. This is the best 👍

Effective and convenient.
I bought this mainly for batch-cooking curries, stews, casseroles, soups, etc. It works well, and will also pot-roast joints of meat. It is easily big enough to cook a large whole chicken with vegetables. The inner pan can be used on a hob to brown ingredients and dry-roast spices, but be aware that its thin base doesn't stay perfectly flat when heated from below. I use a small induction hob and, as the pan heats up, the middle distorts and rises a few millimetres to form a low dome. This makes any oil run to the side of the pan, and causes rounded things like carrots, parsnips or sausages to roll off the centre of the base, making it difficult to brown them evenly. Once off the hob the base resumes its former flatness, and when placed into the slow cooker unit it sits flat and works normally. The controls are easy to use. The timer is simple to set and can be adjusted up or down whilst cooking; once the cooking time is over the unit switches automatically to Standby, which is very convenient. Don't forget to press the Start button! The indicator light blinks while you're setting the timer, but the unit won't start cooking until you've pressed Start, at which point the light stops flashing and glows steadily. I found both the power settings (Low and High) to be a bit hotter than I expected on a slow-cooker, and the Low setting is the one I use. As long as the inner pan is at least half full, the meal will cook slowly, only beginning to bubble gently after several hours. It can be left to cook all day without fear of food burning or sticking. Tip: If you want to save energy, you can cut two hours off your planned cooking time by placing a folded towel on top of the glass lid. This will mean that, when the cooker switches from Low to Standby, the extra insulation will keep the meal cooking extremely slowly, saving you a couple of hours of electricity. My only real criticism of the cooker is that its mains cable is too short. At 24" (600mm) it makes positioning it on the worktop difficult if your sockets are already busy with a toaster, kettle and microwave. Another 12" (300mm) would be useful. The outside of the cooker gets hot, so be careful around it. It doesn't seem very energy efficient to have so much heat escaping, but perhaps insulating the sides would hold in too much heat and cause food to burn. An extra super-low power setting (80W?) and an insulated body would be ideal for those of us counting the pennies. Overall I'm satisfied with this cooker, and use it weekly.

Great slow cooker
Bought this last month to replace one lost in a house move. An upgrade on the one we had previously, cost twice as much as our previous one but worth every penny. Easy to use and the option to sear meat is very useful.

Not as good as I was expecting
From the blurb I assumed this had a timer function on it - but no - only the smaller 5.6 litre slow cooker does - I had one from the same manufacturer years' ago - large capacity, would work on the hob and had a timer!! Why they have gone backwards I have no idea & not cheap either 😬

Excellent… and light!
Bought this to replace one that we had used for many years that eventually gave up. Spent a little extra to get this one with the option to use the inner pot on the hob too which is great for initial searing etc. The inner pot is aluminium rather than ceramic so much lighter and easier to use. Cleans up well in the dishwasher and the timer is handy, along with the keep-warm feature. Great size for batch cooking with enough volume to feed 8 easily, or in my case, two meals for 4 (including 2 ravenous teenage boys). Overall, very pleased. Only features that would make it better would be a ‘delayed start’ but I couldn’t find any other slow cooker with that either and with the keep-warm option, it’s not a truly significant drawback.
