Easy to use
I bought this to speed up the sanding on walls as it was too much to do by hand. I’m so glad I did. It done a great job and saved me a lot of time. I didn’t expect much from the cheapest electric hand sander but it was easy to use for a first time user. The only problems I encountered were the cable is not very long so used an extension cable, it does not come with a variety of grades of sand paper so I bought some from a DIY store and adapted them to suit and my hoover pipe did not fit so there was a lot of dust but I had put a cover over things before beginning. I’m already looking for my next project.

Used it once and the velcro pad on the sander is coming away. Will return it as it won't last long.

Useful tool
This is my first electric sander. Pretty straightforward to use. Little and effective tool, does the job well. It did removed flaky old paint and smooth wooden porch walls before repainting.

Exceptional value!
Well, sadly, my old sander bit the dust halfway through a job. I decided that I would give the Challenger sander a go, and to my surprise, it's done a rather fabulous job at at least a third of the money for a 'well-known make.' The speed is far better than my old sander, less vibration, and it fits well in the hand. So yes, I am very happy to recommend this sander to anyone.

Terrible. Bought it, plugged it in, started smoking so had to be returned. On the plus side, easy return. But clearly I purchased a bad one.
