An excellent buy ! I already have one kettle like this but needed one upstairs. It is the only one I know that has a sensible, easy to handle filter. Just slips out and slots back in when needing to be cleaned.

Nice looking kettle, works quickly and well. The only downside to this is that it is noisier than i expected.

A Good Kettle
I've had this kettle about 3 or 4 weeks now and it seems fine so far. The last kettle I had, had a separate lid which was a nuisance. This one has an attached lid. Only time will tell how long it lasts, but it was a reasonable price and working well so far. I could have done with a longer flex. That was certainly a plus for my previous kettle.

As per the manufacturers Owner Manual -

Do not fill past the maximum 1.7 litre 7
cups or below the minimum 0.5 litre 2 cups level.
Unquote
Therefore minimum fill is 2 cups. I was dissapointed to discover this as, for me, its a deal-breaker.

The Cookworks KE01410-CE Jug Kettle has a concealed heating element so is capable of boiling just one cup of water. It has an auto shut-off feature if the kettle boils dry.
