Great little Hard Drive
I got a new computer at the beginning of the year and felt the need to upgrade my two ageing external HDDs, like all external HDD's setup was just the case of plugging it into a USB port. it is a good size and fits on the desk without taking up too much room. speed wise it's just what you would want from HDD that's being used for backing up files and photos it also appears to work with no issues on windows 11 and has been very reliable in use as of writing

Doesn't save things as they are
This is not for me. I wanted to save all my videos and pictures, but unfortunately all it does is save the videos as pictures and to my annoyance I deleted everything from my phone. So now I've lost all my videos. Not pleased ðŸ˜

Works well on Linux
Not much to say, it's a HDD. As a Linux user I formatted it LUKS encrypted with an xfs file system. Copied 800GB onto it with no issues.

Good features
Happy with my purchase. Easy to use and has made a really difference to what we can store. I run a ghost hunt business (haunting ghost hunts) and this being so small means we can take it with us and download footage to it to watch later. Saves on countless sd cards and space on my laptop.

A Poor Quality Product
A disappointing and useless product. It loses connection frequently and just stops working. I blame Argos for stocking such poor quality. The brand I usually buy was completely out of stock at Argos. In face, there were hardly any Portable Hard Drives available for purchase, apart from Toshiba. That says a lot.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Toshiba Canvio Ready 2TB Portable Hard Drive - Black: Only the model Toshiba "Canvio Flex" model works out of the box with MacOS PCs, other models need reformatting on operating systems other than Windows.
