The Argos Home Ashwell Extending Dining Table adapts to suit everyday meals and bigger gatherings without taking up permanent floor space. It seats four people comfortably day to day, then extends to fit six when friends or family come round. The solid oak frame in a grey painted finish gives it a modern country feel, while the rich oak veneer top brings warmth and natural wood grain. The two-tone combo works well with various kitchen and dining room styles. Chairs are sold separately, so you can match them to your space.

The butterfly extension folds away neatly under the centre of the table when not needed. Pull each end apart, flip the hidden leaf up, and unfold it into place to add 30cm of length. No separate pieces to store or lose. The extension mechanism stays discreet and out of sight until you need it. The solid oak legs spread weight evenly and keep everything stable during meals. Self-assembly required, two people recommended for setup. Comes with a manufacturer's two year guarantee.
