The GoPro HERO12 Black is built for capturing action-packed moments with exceptional clarity and stability. Featuring a 1 by 1.9-inch CMOS sensor, it records stunning 5.3K video with HDR for outstanding detail in both bright highlights and shadowy areas, whilst the upgraded HyperSmooth stabilisation keeps footage smooth even over rough terrain. Waterproof to 10m without any housing, it handles mud, snow and surf with ease. The 2.27-inch LCD touchscreen makes framing shots simple, and with 27-megapixel stills capability, you can pull crisp photos from your adventures too.
This action camera records up to 70 minutes at 5.3K60, over 1.5 hours at 5.3K30, and more than 2.5 hours at 1080p30 thanks to improved power management and the Enduro rechargeable battery. Shoot slow-motion up to 8x in 2.7K to catch details invisible to the naked eye, or use timelapse and night vision modes for creative shots. The water-repelling lens cover reduces flare and artefacts for cleaner footage. With Wi-Fi, webcam functionality, and intelligent scene modes, it comes with a protective case and USB cable. Weighing 154g, it's portable and tough enough for any adventure.

Superb camera!
I bought this camera specifically to use underwater on a scuba diving holiday in the Red Sea. I have previously owned GoPro 3, and GoPro 8 cameras and wished to upgrade. I am really pleased with the results.

Pros: 10/10 image quality Front facing screen for vlogging Cons: Only shoots video in HEV. This is problematic if you are editing on a computer as u need a powerful machine. Way too expensive than rivals such as Action 4 pro. Short battery life Overheating Gopro accessories are Way to expensive. It costs around £70 just for a frame for the camera (media mod) just to attach external mic etc. All I'd say is if you are not a professional or content creator an older used gopro would be more cost effective. Also gotta have deep pockets! I got rid of mine and bought an Osmos Action 4 for a fraction of the cost!

The GoPro HERO12 Action Camera - Black requires a MicroSD card to save footage and photos. To transfer files to a laptop, remove the SD card from your camera; Insert the card into an SD card reader or adapter; Plug the card reader into your computer’s USB port, or insert the adapter into the SD card slot; Copy the files to your computer.
If you have a subscription, transferring to the cloud will be automatic via the Quik app.

After checking with the supplier, I can confirm this GoPro HERO12 Action Camera is waterproof up to 33ft, any deeper an you will require clear housing because of the increased water pressure.

Yes it can but only to a depth of 10 meters, make sure the battery cove is secure
Yeah, waterproof down to 10m deeper diving requires housing as water pressure will push in the buttons. If surfing etc a float is handy so you don't loose it. Tethers are good to keep it attached to yourself so if you drop it, it's not gone.

I can advise the following for the GoPro HERO12 Action Camera - Black:
As you are the owner of the order by purchasing it you will be the legal owner of it, regardless of the gifting, as the warranty is usually with the retailer it will be the retailer that provides this support. Any additional warranty time will be with the manufacture, but the retailer still has a duty of care for up to 5/6 years depending on location.
The gift receiver will either need to go through you to claim on the warranty as you are the legal owner of the order.
