Bit tricky to install but very sturdy!
This is a good sturdy gate. I have a weird shaped banister so trying to install it was a bit tricky and I’d have benefitted from a taller gate. However, it seemed sturdy and works well. Opens both ways which is handy and there is no bottom bar so this reduces trip hazard that comes with a lot of gates!

Problem solved
I have had this product installed for two weeks now. I wanted a wall fix stair gate for the top of my stairs to garauntee the safety of my little granddaughter. Product is perfect and extendable for easy fit.

One handed is difficult but gate is alright
We have this screwed into wooden bannister at top of stairs. It’s great not having anything to step over. Coming up the stairs it’s not easy doing it one handed. We always have to make sure it’s clicked in at bottom but that’s probably because of a slight misalignment when fitting it. Happy that it does a good job and keeps baby safe.

Good for top of stairs
We have a tall toddler so i had to raise it from the floor and cable tie some wood to the bottom of it as it is low enough to climb over but when raised, it is high enough to go under. Could do with it have fold out bars at the top or bottom of the gate to stop taller tods climbing it

The supplier has advised the following for the Munchkin Extending Metal Safety Gate:
"We can confirm that our Extending Metal Gate will fit openings between 64.5cm and 102cm. Please note that some fine-tuning is required to achieve a secure and correct fit.
The gate should be extended to the width you require (please ensure the bars do not cross over). Once in place, all four hinges should be adjusted independently so the gate hangs level and opens and closes correctly. The allen key provided should be used to adjust the upper hinge.
For safety, we recommend checking the gate daily to ensure it remains securely fitted."
