Reasonable quality although some loose threads had to be tied off, particularly on the reflective strips, else they could have come off. Could do with more pockets because it doesn't have as many as my old, actually cheaper, panniers. Can't yet say if they are waterproof.

I bought these for a bike packing trip. It got me through the weekend but the collar at the top got a big rip on day 1. I suppose it was worth the £15, and maybe it's okay for commuting, but ultimately I would not recommend.

This is not recommended. The weight of the child and child seat plus the weight of the bike bag may exceed the maximum safe load for the rack. It may also be dangerous or at least pose a risk to try and do so. You may also find that there's not enough room.
