I bought a new toilet seat from Argos last week and fitted it the same day and the seat is very good. As it is made from wood it is warm to sit on, looks the part and has a slow shutting feature. Really good value and good quality 👍

If the angle between the seat and ceramic surface is over 105°, it shouldn’t fall forwards. We cannot give exact advice without seeing how you’ve set it up. If it is possible there to adjust the position of the seat slightly forwards to ensure the seat and lid, when up, is 105° or more, this should help it to stay up.
