Great bookcase
Great bookcase - bought for my daughter’s bedroom and it’s well made, sturdy and looks great. Very pleased.

It's Heavy and as for the instructions...
A different looking bookcase, which comes in two heavy packages. The colour is good and goes with many different shades of oak that you get these days. The instructions are in the format of pictures, which would be easier to follow if the pieces were numbered as with most other flat pack. Many of the pieces have a profile, which is not made clear on the picture book that is the instructions, so it's not the flat pack to build when tired.

Great piece of furniture
Really pleased with this shelving unit. Good quality for the price paid. I turned the unit upside down and used as a shelving unit inside my cupboard. Works really well. Found it a little tricky to assemble.

Weak fastening pieces and wobbles somewhat when built. Ok once in position (don't touch it) but it is also absurdly heavy MDF.

Great storage unit
This is a self assembly unit, and was easy enough for one person to put together. It looks really good and feels sturdy. Good value.

Great look, design flawed
It looks great and offers plenty of storage for books, vases and other bits and bobs. The instructions are straightforward, as well. Two things let this item down drastically for me: a design flaw and packaging. I returned the first one of these that I'd ordered as it became obvious that the holes for some of the dowels were not deep enough - when securing two boards together and tapping (and in one instance merely pushing) the dowels in, the MDF below splintered, leaving obvious crack marks. The instructions suggested tapping them in with a hammer, as well - certainly do not do so and merely tap them in carefully. It could well be this was a fault in production rather the overall design. There is a possibility of ordering replacement parts but the lead in time was 2 months. So giving it the benefit of the doubt, I ordered a replacement and on this occasion the packaging on one of the corners was damaged. Unfortunately I did not see this until I had lugged the two heavy parcels home for a second time (the item comes in two boxes, v heavy, bring someone strong if you are collecting). Upon unpacking the item, it became clear one of the corners was damaged (and of course it would be to the front of the unit). However, I did not have the energy, time or frankly the nerve in me to take the unit apart again, repackage everything for the second time and then drive back over to Argos once more. Corners should be protected with reenforced cardboard or similar.

Challenge to build but worth it.
Thought this unit was a bit different so was excited to purchase it. Really pleased with it as looks lovely at the side of my fireplace. I only took a star off as it was quite a challenge to build it but we got there in the end. The instructions were very good and just took a lot of patience but was worth it. The unit is sturdy and a very good price compared to others.

Loads of storage space
Great, big unit. Instructions were easy to follow, loads of space on shelves. The is also enough space between shelves to put in the fabric cubes.

Sturdy, beautiful bookshelf
This bookshelf has exceeded my expectations! It's very sturdy and well made. Putting it together was a bit annoying, but that's to be expected with a flat pack. In the end, it was worth it for such a beautiful piece.
