Not silent
Not silent because the finger wheel is noisy. But it doesn't click at least so there's that. Also shipping was expensive for just a little mouse.

My apple mouse stopped working and as a replacement cost about £70 I thought I’d try the Logitech mouse as I already have one for my laptop. It’s excellent and works perfectly.

Unreliable
I was looking forward to using a wireless mouse bu the bluetooth has proved unreliable. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I have followed all the support pages, made it discoverable many times and restarted my computer but the problem persists.

No dongle needed, so frees up a USB port, v quiet
This is a great little mouse. I've bought quite a few of these now, for different laptops in the household. This particular one was to replace a working Logitech one (which I'll now keep as a spare) but which worked with a dongle. When my daughter got a new laptop I wanted to replace the previous one with this Blutooth ones, so that she didn't have a port permanently in use for a mouse. It takes just one AA battery (supplied) and which is said to last about 18 months and which in my experience with our other M240 ones, is about right - maybe longer - but is so cheap and easy to replace. So don't look for a dongle with this one - it doesn't have one. The click is very quiet - perhaps not completely silent. It should connect very easily and quickly as long as you have your Blutooth setting On so the new mouse is 'discoverable'. There are various ways to turn this setting on, on a Windows 11 laptop, one way is to just click on the Windows key (four white squares, usually to the left of the space bar on the laptop's keyboard). Go to Settings (looks like a grey cog with a solid blue circle inside), select Blutooth and Devices (probably third option down the left hand column) and make sure the Blutooth setting is on (blue, not grey). From memory, you may have to hold down the round button underneath until the light flashes quickly (having removed any plastic pull-out from the battery compartment so that the battery is connected.) I'm making this sound harder than it is. If you have Blutooth already on, this should be very quick and simple to connect, taking just a matter of seconds, although for me that might be because I have the Logi Options software installed and have used these mouses/mice so many times before. I've only every bought Logitech for a wireless mouse and have found them mostly very reliable, excellent value, simple and straightforward to use.

Yes, It's very laggy without a mouse mat. The mouse itself is also quite small and therefore not very ergonomic for adult hands. Will be looking for a replacement.

No. It will work on a hard laminate table. FYI I had a little trouble pairing it with my new laptop. It said to click the button underneath to pair it, but you need to hold the button down for a few seconds for it to do so.
