About this product
The Clifton Extending Dining Set gives you space for everyday meals and the flexibility to host more when friends come round. It's a warm natural wood veneer table that seats four comfortably, but extends to fit six when you need the extra room. The slide-out centre leaf is built right in, so there's nothing to store separately. Four padded chairs come with it, upholstered in grey fabric with solid wood legs for stability and comfort. The natural wood finish works with most dining room styles.
The extension mechanism lets you adjust the table length from 120cm to 160cm when you need it. Real wood veneer across the table top and legs gives you that authentic wood grain character. The chairs have fabric seat pads that cushion you through longer meals, and each one supports up to 130kg. Solid wood chair legs keep everything stable and spread the weight evenly. Self-assembly's needed, and it's easier with two people. There's a two-year manufacturer's guarantee included for peace of mind.

Chairs very good, Table has quality issues.
I bought this when there was a discount offer but had been keeping my eye on it for a while before hand. Firstly, the GOOD: The chairs are very nice, comfortable, and good quality materials. Very happy with the Chairs. The NOT SO GOOD: The table arrived and 3/4 of the way through assembly I found a critical part was missing (a sheet metal Z bracket that enables the 2 halves of the top to slide apart to accommodate the extending infill). These things happen and Argos organized a replacement within the week. The BAD, the overall quality of the table is decent enough, the veneer used is nice quite quality but unfortunately one of the leaves that makes up the main top surface has a small but noticeable corner of veneer missing and you can see the chip board underneath. This will no doubt deteriorate overt time. for a table of this price, I am disappointed but with the hassle of getting the missing part I could not be bothered to complain again. In terms of assembly, it's straightforward for a seasoned assembler of flat pack furniture, nothing out of the ordinary, took me 2.5 hours on my own.

Really sturdy excellent value
The chairs I put together myself , the table I paid a local odd jobber to put together for me. All in all this set is very nice very strong it extends to seat 6 comfortably, would recommend.

Nice and comfy furniture
I bought as replacement of old set. It looks good, is expandable if needed, chairs are quite comfortable. The only issue I have with table material - it would be nicer made from wood not a wooden-board. Quite easy to assembly to – my hubby did it all by himself but it took a few hours.
