About this product
The Celestron Royal Observatory Greenwich FirstScope makes astronomy accessible for beginners who want to explore the Moon, planets and star clusters without complex setup. This compact tabletop telescope arrives pre-assembled in partnership with Royal Observatory Greenwich. Install one of the two included eyepieces and you're ready to observe. The straightforward tabletop base provides stable viewing from any flat surface, while the lightweight 1.66kg design lets you easily carry it outdoors for stargazing. Quick setup means you can start observing moments after opening the box.
You get two eyepieces that transform your viewing experience. The 20mm eyepiece delivers 15x magnification for sweeping views of star clusters, whilst the 4mm eyepiece zooms to 75x magnification to reveal craters on the Moon and cloud bands on Jupiter. The simple mount lets you point and track objects intuitively across the night sky. Download the free Celestron SkyPortal app to identify what you're seeing overhead and plan your observations. Hello There.
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for Celestron Royal Observatory Greenwich FirstScope.
Celestron SkyPortal is a planetarium app which can be used on compatible smart phones independent of a telescope. It is an interactive guide to the night sky.
Celestron SkyPortal cannot connect with this telescope.
Celestron SkyPortal can be used to control Celestron computerised telescopes, an additional accessory is required for this functionality (Celestron SkyPortal WiFi module)
Thank you for using Q & A.
It can be used in daylight but you must remember that the image is inverted. You see, when viewing planets, that doesnt matter.
