A lot for the money
I wanted something small with 4k video and image stabilisation for vlogging. It aldo features water resistant. The ability to use automatic exposure as well as pro mode for more control is very appealing. It's very easy to use and access the advanced functions. You do have to download the app to be able to activate the device. I'd prefer it was optional. Lots of accessories available, but you can easily spend more than the camera cost.

Runs smoothly, connects to my phone easily for remote control. Very easy to set manual settings as well. Does not handle loud sounds well but that’s not my use for it.

This is a bargain
I was out geocaching to film one of my event videos in a town away from where I live, and to my horror, I had forgotten my main camera at home. I needed something quickly and affordable. Luckily, the local Argos had a good discount on this last-generation action camera, and it saved my day. I was able to record good-quality video, and it was very easy to use. I now keep it in my backpack. I did have to order a selfie stick separately, as this combo is the cheapest option on the market and doesn’t include one.

Fantastic camera
Bought this to film a family holiday and have for future use. Absolutely thrilled with the camera. Video stabilisation is brilliant. Sound is great too with no additional microphone add on. Battery life lasts as described but worth having a spare. Easy little camera to carry around with you and works exactly as expected. Highly recommend

Super camera, but………
You need to be sure that (if you intend downloading video to your computer) the specs on your PC are high enough to do the video justice. I would suggest 16GB ram is essential and a 1.7 processor speed likewise. I really like the ease of use of the Osmo Action 4 and can certainly recommend it. Great value for money.

The Osmo action 4 is very good for recording motor bike footage when attached to a helmet. You will need to purchase either a helmet chin mount, or the action suction cup mount to get the unit firmly attached.

Once it is activated you dont need do anything more with app if you arent interested in firmware updates.
You can use someone elses mobile phone to do the activating if you like.
You can not activate the camera without the DJI Mimo app. Unfortunately an even bigger stumbling block occurs if you do not have a mobile phone compatible with downloading and installing this app. In which case you will have to budget for a new phone in the upper price bracket and spec. Crazy to think you have to buy a suitable phone at a greater cost than the camera in order to make the latter usable.
