About this product
Inspired by country living, you can put your feet up as soon as it arrives! Its chunky look with rounded edges make this a sturdy bookcase, ideal for a busy household. The top surface shows off the natural grains and knots of the wood and the oak finish is warm and inviting, so it's perfect for cosying up a lounge.
There are 3 fixed shelves, great for stacking you book collection in style. The top surface would look dapper with a vase of flowers on top.

Bad design flaw
It pains me to rate this shelving unit only 3 stars as it a lovely well built quality piece of furniture. It’s sturdy and looks great came well packaged and on time. However it has one major design flaw that makes it not fit for purpose. The shelves have hidden support wooden strips underneath and a lip at the front. This means that full size standard hardback books don’t fit properly. You can jam them in at the risk of damaging the books or have to fit smaller books at each end and in the middle. If you’re only looking to display paperbacks or smaller than standard hardbacks then it will be fine but if it’s to display normal standard size hardback books then it’s of no use. I compromised and filled the spaces with paperbacks but it takes away from the look. At the price tag offered I’m amazed the designers didn’t take this into account. If it wasn’t for this issue it would be a 5 star review.

Hi shelves are ok for paperbacks or smaller than normal hardbacks. Not enough height for standard hardbacks to make them accessible. Big flaw on an otherwise very nice bookcase.
