About this product
This Petface Cooling Dog Coat can be used in hot weather to cool down your dogs. It is also ideal to be used for unwell dogs to reduce their temperature. It is activated by water, as you put the coat on and then put the water on. Lightweight, the coat is cool and soft to the touch making it comfortable for your dog to wear. Hand wash only using cold water. Coat size is 50cm.
Each cost comes with a bright sticker highlighting the dog coat size and how to measure the correct fit on the front of the packaging.

Hot Dog.. Not!!
Bought this mid heatwave, didn't know if my dog would be agreeable to wearing it. But she wears it indoors and whilst out walking and it has stopped her panting. It gradually dries out during the day so I use a water spray to keep it damp. She's a border collie and the 50cm is just the right size. Wish I'd bought one sooner!

Fantastic and great for the warmer weather!
Bought last month when the weather turned warm as my dog was really struggling with the heat. We had tried cooler mat before and he wouldn't sit on it but this coat has been great. It cools him down within 15 mins of putting it on and it just needs running under cold water to activate. It has made the warmer days so much more bearable for my dog.

Bad service great coat
These coats are great but make sure you buy the correct size as Argos would not refund my money as it was “wet”. I did eventually get one from another source but I’m £18 out of pocket

Bought this about 10 days ago. Works really well at keeping our dog cool. Only concern is the under strap Velcro strapping is a little frayed. Something I’ll keep my eye on.

Great coat keeps my dog cool, he doesn't mind wearing it either! It's quite lightweight so not bulky on him ( cocker spanial) I bought the 50cm one)

Petface 50cm Dog Cooling Coat 318/5049 This item is 50cm from front to back. I have checked the details on this and can see the advice given is:
1, Place the cooling coat in a bowl of cold water. 2, Gently knead the coat so it takes in enough water. 3, Wring excess water from the coat so it is not dripping. Place over the dogs back. 4, Secure the coat with the belt around the tummy and fastening at the front of the coat. If using every day you can store it slghtly damp in a sealable bag, otherwise hang to dry. Do not unfold the coat when it is dry, soak it first to soften the material. Do not use the cooling coat on a cold day. If your dog appears to show signs of feeling cold, remove the coat immediately. Handwash in cold water only.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Petface 50cm Dog Cooling Coat: Labradors can vary in size quite a lot. If the customer measures their dog from the base of the neck to the base of the tail, this will give an accurate guide of which coat is needed.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised: The 50cm measurement is from the back of the neck to the top of the tail, this completely depends on the size of the consumers dog so they will need to measure their dog to see whether this fits their dog.
