Quality and value
Bought to replace another Cookworks toaster which had given many, many years sterling service. Have always found Cookworks products to be good value and durable, so was happy to try this. Straight out of the box this feels like a surprisingly high quality product, given that this is their "basic" toaster. In operation it is smooth, and very quiet when the toast is done and pops up. Works perfectly. Excellent value for money, no hesitation in recommending.

One of the best toasters I have had. Surprised, pleasantly so, by the size of this toaster which took 2cm thick slices of my home made bread. With the longest side facing you, the toaster measures along the top surface 23.5cm wide and 14.5cm deep. It is 21cm high. The unit measures 26cm wide and 17cm deep along the base. The bread slots are approx 14.5cm wide by 2.5 deep, and extend down by approx 13.5cm – as best as I can measure without electrocuting myself. The control for browning is very easy to turn, possibly too much so as I have occasionally turned it during handling. The setting does work though and I am capable of remembering where I set it to, so no big issue there. Would I recommend this? Well absolutely I would. For all the expensive toasters out there, many 2, 3 or more times the price of this one and filled with features I am sure most dont use, and most of which have pretty poor reviews, this shines for functionality/ease of use and price. I just want something that works, easy to use and set, and doesnt need a mortgage to buy and break my heart when it goes wrong for what I have wasted on a pretty plastic case. According, I am now once more a very happy consumer of toasted bread products.

The instruction manual states: ''Select the degree of browning required by adjusting the browning control knob. A lighter coloured toast will be obtained by selecting the lower settings (1 & 2) and darker toast by selecting the higher settings (6 & 7). ''

Yes. I use warburtons crumpets and they fit its auto adjusting width size. Ive no doubt it would do bagels as well.
