My NOT so old doorbell needed a new small round battery for the finger pad costing £10 odd. This new bell is £13. And it NEVER needs batteries!! A no-brainier!! It’s so easy to install. Just plug in the bell part. Peel off the sticky back pad off the finger part and stick to your plastic door frame!!! That’s it!!!!! There’s a load of tunes on it. But most are annoying so I just have it on the chimes. Which are lovely and clear!!! Best purchase for ages…

I am very happy with this bell that I have had for about a month. It seems pretty sturdy. There is a big choice of sounds although there was really only one that I liked. Volume is very good so can hear from most rooms - it is plugged in in upstairs hall.

Byron DBY-23442BS 100m Plug-In Doorbell - Single, White 313/9992 By attaching this to a metal door it may affect the signal range and cause an obstruction which affects the overall wireless range.
If attaching to a metal door it may be beneficial placing the doorbell transmitter and receiver as close to each other as possible.

Having checked I can see you are able to add to this system and the system is compatible with all DBY-xxxx models working at 433mhz. I can see we do not stock the plug in chime separately at the moment.

Having looked into this - Select the desired melody from the 16 options via the bell push and set the 80 dB volume to 5 sound levels via a button on the doorbell. In this way the doorbell can be adapted to all your wishes.
