Very neat little camera!
I bought this camera to that I can check in on my husband who has dementia and limited mobility whilst I'm sitting in the garden. So long as I remember to have my mobile phone with me and connected to WiFi, I get frequent alerts to any sort of movement he makes. If I want to speak to him, I click on the alert or the app and select the 'live' camera. I can then activate the microphone and volume buttons; he can speak to me, too, so he feels reassured if he's forgotten where I've gone. I don't intend to subscribe for further features as this is sufficient for us. The camera has a shutter, too, so if we have visitors I close the camera for privacy. The camera plugs into a nearby socket and can be tilted slightly for the view you want.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Ring Indoor Camera (2nd Gen) - White Security Camera: The Ring Indoor camera will emit a visible infrared light at night to enable night vision recording however it appears as a red dot as opposed to a full bright white light.
