The TomTom GO Superior 6 delivers reliable navigation with pre-loaded Europe maps and lifetime updates that keep roads current. The HD touchscreen makes route details easy to read, while voice command lets you adjust your journey without touching the screen. Speed camera alerts include a free trial. Lifetime traffic updates help you avoid congestion. Lane guidance shows your position well before complex junctions. Enhanced visual cues use animations to flag forthcoming exits, turns and lane changes. This is handy if you prefer navigating without sound.
Points of interest displays nearby petrol stations, restaurants and other useful stops along your route. The device supports PD fast charging and comes with a car charger, windscreen suction mount, and USB cable included. Battery life runs for a couple of hours when unplugged. World maps and easy to update, but with flaws
Excellent worldwide maps coverage which is very easy to update / switch between them. This is a replacement for my older faulty TomTom and I'm rather surprised that the older model is better in most respects. This model does not support OV2 files so I cannot access all my points of interest. The screen panning centres the vehicle so wastes a portion of upcoming road display - more like a 3 inch screen. Badly designed UI means 2 clicks needed to either zoom in, zoom out or see settings, and the route cancel button is so close to zoom out it is easy to hit this on the go accidentally.

A disappointment
I bought this because the Sat Nav in my car was out if date and it was recommended to me because it cost no more than having the car updated. Years ago I had a Garmin which was much better. I struggle with this one.

Sorry, it is not possible to hardwire the TomTom into the car. The on/off is actioned manually.

I can advise the TomTom GO Superior 6 Inch Car Sat Nav does have an SD card slot. You can use a memory card to save routes and maps. However, it’s important to note that you can only use the SD card for one purpose at a time. Either saving routes or for installing maps.
