Brilliant sat nav
I bought this a month ago as my last tom tom sat nav wouldn't charge anymore. I just love the features on this model.

World maps and easy to update, but with flaws
Excellent worldwide maps coverage which is very easy to update / switch between them. This is a replacement for my older faulty TomTom and I'm rather surprised that the older model is better in most respects. This model does not support OV2 files so I cannot access all my points of interest. The screen panning centres the vehicle so wastes a portion of upcoming road display - more like a 3 inch screen. Badly designed UI means 2 clicks needed to either zoom in, zoom out or see settings, and the route cancel button is so close to zoom out it is easy to hit this on the go accidentally.

A disappointment
I bought this because the Sat Nav in my car was out if date and it was recommended to me because it cost no more than having the car updated. Years ago I had a Garmin which was much better. I struggle with this one.

excellent early warning of turns
This was to change back to Tom Tom after several years in the Garminb camp which I had moved to when the Comet sales person said they were faster to change route when you were diverted. The old G failed to negotiate complex junctions successfully (couldn't tell which lane you were in, but had an excellent location "where am I" function. This Tom tom needs "pan wireless function to link up with smartphone - wouldn't do it on my old iphone 7, but produced routes very well. This TT was much better on complex routes, gave early warning of what lane to get in and much more relaxing to use. The voice advice timing was also better than Garmin for me. The only problem I have so far is to persuade it to mark an actual position in the starred my places since I put in the post code for LCP in, but it took me round and round the closed back entrance, and seemed unwilling to accept that the actual road entrance (down a long drive from the centre) was the correct destination by road.

Bought this when our old Tom Tom gave up. Good clear screen and advance warning by way of chevrons when approaching a roundabout.

I can advise the TomTom GO Superior 6 Inch Car Sat Nav does have an SD card slot. You can use a memory card to save routes and maps. However, it’s important to note that you can only use the SD card for one purpose at a time. Either saving routes or for installing maps.
