Looks good but disappointing performance
This my first experience with a rotary and sad to say I'm not too impressed. I chose the 5000 series because of the faster revs but it just doesn't give me a clean shave. The motor seems to labour and I have to go over my beard many times to get some smoothness. I now alternate between a wet blade shave and the Phillips, not what I was hoping for. It's well made, cleaning is a doddle, but rather disappointing..

DON'T BUY THIS ONE, BUY THE OTHER ONE!!
I've been using electric shavers for many years, and I find that the Phillips style shavers (circular cutters) are best for people like me who maybe don't shave every day. They pick up longer hairs, which the Remington type (bar cutters) can't easily. Remington shaves a bit closer, but Phillips is better for longer stubble. That was until I bought this one... I bought this because I was very happy with my previous Phillips wet & dry shaver. I should have researched better, rather than just picking a new one which I thought would be equivalent. There is a MASSIVE ergonomic flaw with this product that is completely unnecessary. There is a large amount of plastic outboard of the cutting wheels, which makes it much more difficult than it needs to be to shave under my nose; because the cutters are not at the edge. Now I use my old Remington type shaver to shave under my nose, after using this one! REALLY, PHILLIPS? If you are looking at one of these, they are good, but buy one where the shaving wheels are at the edge of the deck; not one which has three big rectangular protrusions. Unfortunately Argos' return policy doesn't apply to shavers. BEWARE! A de-evolution of a previously good product. If anyone working for Phillips reads this, I'd LOVE to know why you did this.

Good so far.
Had this for about 4 weeks,very pleased with product,I find it superior to my old 3000 series,but you do pay a premium for the 5000 series,battery lasts a good time ,I also find it easier to clean than my older model,the only criticism would be the position of the on off button,but you do get accustomed to this after a short period,I would definitely recommend this product.
