It's a mess compared to the older cheapest model?
All the hair falls out the head? I got this 5000 series as a present for xmas, I have a AquaTouch that was probably a 10th of the cost, and doesn't drop a shed of stubble. This greatly more expensive unit drops shaving everywhere, my shirt is covered, the floor, it just totally fails to contain the waste? Surely thats a basic feature that was perfected many years ago?

Good electric razor
Well made electric razor. Battery indicator is helpful. Shaves well. It comes with a super-big stand so that one can clean the shaver head - something of a novelty idea. It would be much better if the razor was supplied with a small stand, so that one can store it upright with minimal footprint.

Always had Philips shavers and this one is definitely the best, great shave, built in trimmer, holds charge well and easy to clean, Nice design and love the new usb charging making it more flexible and charges quick. would recommend to anyone

Product works well but is noisey
Bought this item to replace my old Phlilps which was showing signs of age after 15 years. The new one works well but is noisier than the old one it replaces and is not as comfortable in the hand whilst shaving.

It does shave me well it is nice and light as I have arthritis in my hands I thought the motors would rotate faster for a quicker shave and it does not take long to charge

Excellent shaving experience
This shaver is a big upgrade on my old Remmington. The first thing I noticed was the closeness of the shave this Philips shaver gives in double quick time. Also the quick charge time, in under an hour, which lasts well over a week and more. also included was a Philips cleaning hub, which so far I have not tested but I'm sure it will be really useful when needed. I am no longer in the flush of youth so I have many years of shaving experiences to compare this with & for me this Philips shaver is by far the best I've had. The shaver itself fits snugly in the hand which allows for easy negotiation around all the natural curves of the face, even the traditional problem places like under the chin and neck areas. the integrated beard and sideboard trimmer works really well enabling good shaping & trimming. The included travel case seems really sturdy and will ensure the shaver will not get turned on during transit thus discharging the battery. For me, this is a fantastic piece of kit. A shaver I would most certainly recommend to anyone looking for a shaving solution at a very reasonable price, all backed up by the renowned Philips brand and back up services.

It's okay. Seems to struggle to shave hair under the jaw line and the throat. You have to go over the same area a few times. Works better as a wet shave.

I am extremely pleased with the razor. The charge lasts for ages, it is easy to use leaving a shave nearly as good as a blade (but not quite). Simple to clean by opening it and place under running water.
