Great camera for keeping an eye on things
Great Camera and asociated Application. Already had the TAPO app, so buying a TAPo camera made sense. Good price offered by Argos - and in stock too. Tried it inside first to make sure it worked and have just installed outside: the recent rain has given it a good IP65 test! Picture clarity is good - although not great at picking out car number plates: maybe the C520 (2K version) would improve that. Night time vision is better than expected. Coerage is VERY good - 360 laterally and all that I need vertically. Still getting my head around all the features of the App (e.g. tracking and "masked" areas) but it's pretty comprehensive.

First one Stopped working on WiFi and would not re connect. Spent £40 getting electrician back to go up to soffits and still would not connect and only 3metres away in direct line from router. Let’s see if this one works

Once you have successfully configured your camera in the Tapo app, you can watch the live view on the Tapo APP without any additional cost.
If there are two ways to watch the playback.
1. Insert the SD card and the playback will be stored locally to the SD card.
2. Subscribe to the Tapo Care service and the playback will be stored in the cloud.

Card Type:
• Try to choose High/Max/Pro Endurance microSD cards as they are designed for continuous recording and re-recording, offering greater stability and reliability in recording and storage.
• Regular SD cards are typically designed for digital cameras and may not be suitable for continuous recording. They are not recommended for use with dash cams, home monitoring, or security systems.
Capacity:
• The capacity varies by camera model and hardware version. For specific information about supported capacities for the C500, please refer to the product's page on our official website.
Important Buying Tips:
1. Always make sure to buy from an authorized seller. Be careful about cheap SD cards. Do not buy used or refurbished SD cards.
2. Pay attention to the Operating Temperature of the SD card, which can usually be found in the Specifications.
3. MicroSD cards have a limited read and write lifespan. Replace microSD cards once every few years to reduce potential failure.
4. Please note that based on lab test results, ADATA (256 GB, A1, V10, SDXC1) and Samsung (256 GB, EVO plus U3, V30, A2, SDXC1) are not supported by Tapo cameras.

When Loop Recording is enabled, it will automatically overwrite the oldest footage on your microSD card when storage is full.
To manage this feature: Open the Tapo app > Select your doorbell device >Device Settings > Storage & Recording > microSD Card >Toggle Loop Recording on/off.

While there isn't a direct option to completely disable the motion sensor, here are two effective approaches:
Option 1: Use Privacy Mode
Privacy Mode will temporarily stop all video/audio streaming and recording, which effectively disables motion detection:
1. Open the Tapo app and tap on your camera card to enter the Live View page
2. Tap the Privacy Mode icon to enable it, OR
3. Tap the gear icon in the top right corner to enter Device Settings, then toggle Privacy Mode ON
Note: If you're unable to enable Privacy Mode, confirm you're logged in with the owner account, not a shared account.
Option 2: Adjust Detection Sensitivity to Minimum
You can reduce the detection sensitivity to its lowest setting:
1. Open the Tapo app and tap on your camera card
2. Tap the gear icon in the top right corner to enter camera settings
3. Tap "Detection", then select the detection type you want to adjust
4. Set the sensitivity to the lowest level
