Amazing camera for outdoors.
I brought this a month ago and I’m super impressed. So easy to install and put together. Set up very easy to do best bit no subscription needed. I love the track feature, only criticism I can make at this time is when a tree is blowing in the wind the camera will focus on that until it stops moving. This is a feature it has and can be stopped at any time by settings. The camera is waterproof but needs electrical source it’s not wireless. I’m very impressed with the coverage and the night vision. I brought this camera in the sale but would have happily paid full price for it.

Hi Star,
Theoretically, you should be able to remotely view and manage your camera, as long as it is successfully set up, connected to your home Wi-Fi, and remains online.
If you are unable to remotely view or manage it, you can try the following steps:
1. Ensure both your camera firmware and Tapo App are up-to-date.
2. Check if any advanced features are enabled on your router, such as Parental Control or Firewall/QoS functions. Temporarily disable these features to see if this resolves the issue.
3. To eliminate potential issues with your router's Wi-Fi network, it is recommended to use a mobile hotspot and configure the camera to test its functionality.
4. Using a public DNS server may improve the connection; try changing your router's DNS server settings to 8.8.8.8. If you are unsure how to do this, please contact your router's customer support.
If the above suggestions do not help, please contact support.uk@tp-link.com and one of our support agents will follow up with you directly.
Thanks for using Q&A.

Hi Paulp,
Here are the key specifications to consider when choosing a microSD card for your Tapo C500:
Card Type:
• Try to choose High/Max/Pro Endurance microSD cards as they are designed for continuous recording and re-recording, offering greater stability and reliability in recording and storage.
• Regular SD cards are typically designed for digital cameras and may not be suitable for continuous recording. They are not recommended for use with dash cams, home monitoring, or security systems.
Capacity:
• The capacity varies by camera model and hardware version. For specific information about supported capacities for the C500, please refer to the product's page on our official website.
Important Buying Tips:
1. Always make sure to buy from an authorized seller. Be careful about cheap SD cards. Do not buy used or refurbished SD cards.
2. Pay attention to the Operating Temperature of the SD card, which can usually be found in the Specifications.
3. MicroSD cards have a limited read and write lifespan. Replace microSD cards once every few years to reduce potential failure.
4. Please note that based on lab test results, ADATA (256 GB, A1, V10, SDXC1) and Samsung (256 GB, EVO plus U3, V30, A2, SDXC1) are not supported by Tapo cameras.
To see the compatibility list of microSD cards we've tested and more details, refer to this FAQ: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/3048/...
