Very pretty and a good deal, but has caveats
The lamp shade is difficult to install and you can't make too many mistakes with the velcro tape as you may end up tearing the paper lamp or crumpling it in undesired locations. The best part of the lamp is its aesthetics during the daytime. At night it does a good job at defusing the light nicely but you can always see two darker areas of the lampshade - one where the velcro strap is and another on the opposite side where two parts of the paper have been glued together - that makes it very difficult to fully hide these seams at night time when it's on. Another concern is long term maintainability as a light bulb replacement would mean fully undoing the velcro strap and going through the difficult process of reattaching it again. For the price I'm very happy with it, just make sure you select the correct LED light bulb and consider how much the shade will dim the light as well. Ah and also there is a label that is glued on, removing it may damage the paper so be careful when doing that - not removing it would mean more undesired shadows on the surface of the shade

It’s a beautiful ceiling lampshade. I like that it completely hides the bulb. It was easy to put together. It was fairly cheap and looks robust. I’ve seen similar online for 3 times the price of this one .

Great lampshade, designer look!
I bought 3 of these to hang over my kitchen counter and they look great! Much more design-led than their price suggests. Easy to fit and well made, but like all the other reviews the sticker is in a very silly place and is impossible to remove without tearing the paper! Luckily they are high up so you can’t really tell but definitely a design flaw. Would have given 5 stars but this issue loses them a star.

For those struggling to open the metal ring - you are probably trying to open the wrong bit! Do not try to open the section that is bolted together with a pin. You need to spin the ring around to find the split section opposite this, then you can simply pull it apart, no tools needed.

It opens like an earring. The opening is not the part with the tiny screw. Keep turning the paper around the ring and you will find a simple latch that detaches. Its hiding in the back of the paper not the front where the small screw is.
Good luck with that. I have 3 and will be returning them all as the ring will not open. No one can open it. Fed up!
