About this product
This nightlight handles two jobs at once, offering a motion sensor mode that activates when someone moves in the dark, and a dusk to dawn setting that keeps a low light on all night. Switch between the two depending on your needs, whether lighting trips to the loo or keeping a gentle hallway glow. It has 4 bright LEDs for the nightlight and an 8 LED torch built in, providing proper brightness when needed. The motion sensor activates for about 20 seconds on movement, and in dusk to dawn mode, it automatically brightens when you walk past.
The induction charging technology means you just pop it on the base and it charges without any faff, giving you up to 10 hours of use. It'll automatically turn on if the power cuts out while it's charging, which is handy for keeping things lit during an outage. The rechargeable batteries are included, so it's ready to go straight out of the box. Plug in night light
It is ok, quite handy if you need a torch and everyone manages to put it back where you can find it. I used it to help me find stuff in a darkened bedroom as I leave for work early in the morning. Also this did help out during a brief power cut and didn’t leave us in total darkness. One downside of the device is to do with the light sensor (that stops it activating needlessly when the house lights are on, or in the daylight); the sensor does not appear to function with the new style led lights that everyone is moving over to. However it does appear to recognise the light from a filament type halogen bulb and this does stop the device from activating. But seeing as though these old bulbs are being phased out this issue could be an oversight on the part of the manufacturer.

This is a great product sensitively is quick, illumination is just right not too bright, which is good for when my grandchildren come to stay over.

Excellent product for safety at night.
I bought this to replace a similar one but this is better. It is plugged in on the landing and provides just enough low light to safely go to the loo without being so bright that it wakes anyone. If there is a power cut it comes on automatically on a bright Setting which lasts for a few hours. Also works as a torch if you take it out of the cradle.

Nifty Night Light
I bought this Xtralite Nightsafe Duo+Dual Function Night Light to replace my existing one which was not working properly after many years of perfect service.This new light turns on immediately I am within the distance for reacting and stays alight for enough time to see where I need to go to.It is a bright light and doubles up as a torch as well.There are a few different programs to make it very handy.

This is my second light, they are long lasting but needs a wider scope you need to be quite near to it before it lights especially when approaching from the side. It is very neat and all the other functions, ie. Torch etc are excellent.

“ The nightlight has 2 modes.
The nightlight is in sensor only mode, the light stays dark until movement is detected.
The nightlight is in Dusk to Dawn mode, the nightlight is in a low light mode all night, when movement is detected, it lights up brighter like the sensor mode then switches back to nightlight mode. ”

The motion sensor activates the nightlight for about 20 seconds when movement is detected during hours of darkness. Dusk to Dawn nightlight: The low light dusk to dawn light comes on when it becomes dark. When movement is detected in this mode the brighter sensor light is activated.
