Pyrex has enhanced its iconic 1L measuring jug by adding a very practical plastic lid. The lid features an integrated sieve with 3 positions to allow slow or quick flow of the liquid and also to close the measuring jug to conserve the preparations.

Pyrex Glass One Litre Jug
The need for this new Pyrex Jug was that our, over ten years old, one had become difficult to read. The main reason being it had been used for whisking cream etc. with an electric mixer and the glass had, over the ten years, become slightly cloudy and the level markings faded. The new one was ordered and paid for on our home computer then collected fifteen minutes later, without difficulty. We can now measure accurately and still have the old one for use with the electric mixer.

This measuring jug is very well made sturdy and durable. I would have given 5 stars if the stickers on the lid had peeled off easily. Instead they left a gooey and sticky mess which after several attempts at cleaning it off failed. Come on Pyrex get your act together and use easy peel stickers in future.

Having checked I can see the maximum temperature this jug can hold is 300°C so you are able to add boiling water to this jug.
