Fab pepper grinder
I bought this to replace a pepper grinder I bought from Amazon. That broke 1 day after the 1 month manufacturers guarantee. I have had OXO products in the past and knew they were well designed and reliable. This pepper grinder is great because it's not too big, you can see the contents, adjust the coarseness of the grind, is easy to grind and does not drop lots of pepper underneath because it comes out of the top. I liked it so much I bought the salt grinder. It wasn't even expensive at £9.99 in the sale but even at £14.99 it would be worth it. Note the only difference between the salt and pepper grinder is the salt has a white top and the pepper a black top, otherwise they are identical. It doesn't make much difference as you can see what's inside them. Oh nearly forgot they come full of pepper / salt.

Our OXO Softworks Pepper Grinder is designed specifically for peppercorns, so we do not recommend using it for cardamom.
Whole cardamom pods are too large and fibrous for the grinding teeth, which can cause the mechanism to jam. Additionally, the natural essential oils in cardamom seeds can coat the internal burrs over time, leading to clogging and altering the flavor profile of other spices.
For the best results with cardamom, we recommend using a traditional mortar and pestle or a dedicated electric spice grinder.

Please note that the stated heights of both the salt and pepper grinders are incorrect. They are 14 cm in height.

Yes, you can clean your OXO Softworks Pepper Grinder easily and hand wash only:
To disassemble, remove the top of the grinder.
Remove any peppercorns from the chamber. Rinse with warm soapy water.
Use coarse salt to clean the mechanism effectively. Allow all parts to dry before reassembly to prevent clumping or mould.
Reassemble and refill with fresh peppercorns.
Regular cleaning helps maintain the grinder's performance and freshness.

The SW Pepper grinder, 2154200N1UK has the same ceramic grinder mechanism as the SW Salt grinder 2154300N1UK.
You can use both salt and pepper in either grinder.
