The Yale Smart Motion CCTV Kit gives you peace of mind that your home is securely protected, allowing you to check from anywhere via a smartphone, using the Yale View app. The Smart Motion Detection feature focuses in on human shapes, whilst the Dual Tech technology corroborates movement to limit the number of false alarms and the bright white lights act as a deterrent to any potential intruders.
Smart Motion Detection (SMD) focusses on real threats - recognising human & vehicle shapes on motion detection, rather than simply heat & motion – significantly reducing false alarms.
30m Night vision with 10m colour vision enables users to more readily identify intruders or visitors.
Dual Detection Technology uses both PIR & Video Motion to correctly identify movement of humans or vehicles to limit number of false alarms.

Highly recommend
Excellent bit of kit, don't get me wrong, this is hard to install yourself, but with some Patience it is very secure. Would highly recommend, especially if you feel your WiFi is vulnerable. Wired to VXR box with options to backup to a USB. Quality night vision and quality AI detection. Only downside is the AI feature is only available for up to four cameras so choose wisely if you have the full 8. Would recommend using an expert guide or AI assistant to guide you through the set up as there are a lot of settings and features. But it hasn't let me down once. Doesn't need to be online to record. It has been a life saver. Literally.

I was not happy with this purchase as it had obviously been opened before and items including the Manual had been removed!! Very complex to try and set up without the documentation.............

Replacement system
I bought this because my old ‘box’ lost HDMI output. I was told there is no replacement as it is over 10 years old. The new one is a good system. Uses the old wiring which saves a lot of hassle. It also works with my old cameras! Which I was told it wouldn’t. I only found out because I accidentally connected up an old one.

Better avoid to aggro.
Everything with this product was looking great until it was set up, andthat was by following the set up guide to the letter. No images from any of the 4 cameras, and then could not connect the drive to the app, simply would not handshake so it went back in the box and returned.

Pretty good hardware, terrible software
Cameras are ok but not as clear as I hoped they would be. Software is terrible and user manual very poor.

Straightforward to install but difficult to set up. The cameras seem to have limited lateral movement and field of view. Also you have to turn off the notifications when you're in the property otherwise you get an email alert every time you pass camera.

Very useful reasonably priced CCTV system
Bought to replace an older Swann system. Thankfully I was able to use the existing cabling with the new Yale cameras and DVR. Having previously download the excellent setup.and user manuals from the Yale web site setup was quick and easy. With the Yale View app installed on my phone I have good live views of the cameras whilst away from home. Playback of events in SD or HD is easy.

Worth the money
Quick and easy setup, app works really well and cameras are great with lights on. You need a monitor to set them up at first but other than that you just plug in and leave it alone

Great product. Really clear pictures etc. App for phone works well. Although, at the moment I’m still unable to sort out the audio. The default setting is off. I have tried many ways to enable the audio but failed everytime. Also be warned. If you’re not a techy person, you will need to search for tutorials on YouTube as very limited instructions.

For the Yale 2 Camera HD CCTV Security System:
The system can be set up and used locally without any connection to the internet.
If you wish however, to view the camera footage live remotely from anywhere in the world, then you can connect directly using ethernet to the home router and set up the Yale View app to connect remotely.

There is no standalone YALE VIEW app for PC, however I downloaded Bluestacks which is a Google Play emulator and have the YALE VIEW app running from my PC at home so i can monitor the cctv system in the office. There is a YALE VIEW app for Android and iPhone App Store to be able to view it anwhere on the go!
After getting an answer from Joy I decided to look into this a little more, there is no such app as Yale View App for PC, you can search for it on google and it will come up with a link but if you click on it it takes you to another app called imou, and asks you to download it from a very dodgy site. Yale themselves do not do a PC app for their CCTV systems which is a shame as the SWANN system I am using at the moment do a great PC app, looks like I will be looking for another Swann system.

The Yale 4 Camera HD CCTV Security System can be viewed on a PC/mobile phone that is on the same network as the control unit, using the Yale View app for PC.

These are wired cameras and are ethernet enabled to connect to the internet. The BNC connection goes into the Camera and then the DVR has an Ethernet connection to connect it to the internet.
