This fridge freezer looks well made. Easy to operate with a dial. Great height for me.

Disappointing
On the plus side, this appliance looks great from the front, is very quiet and the interior shelving/racking is well designed. However, there are three significant negatives: 1. Unless the appliance is in the corner of a room, all four of the vertical recessed handles - one on each side of both the fridge door and freezer door (these enable the doors to be attached to open either from the right or from the left) - are visible. It looks frankly stupid to have handles on the hinge side and someone trying to pull the door open from that side could potentially pull the whole appliance over. Why on Earth doesn't Bosch provide blank covers for the pair of handles not in use? (A further complaint about these handles is that it is really difficult to remove the protective plastic film from the groves in them.) 2. The installation instructions are purely diagramatic; no text. It's not at all obvious what two grey plastic items with 2 screws in an unlabelled plastic bag are for and whether essential or optional. 3. The Bosch website indicates that, on registration, all fridge freezers currently have their warranty automatically extended from 2 years to 5 years. However, it turns out that this particular model is excluded! I only discovered this after registration; it makes me suspect that Bosch knows this is not a very reliable appliance. All in all, very disappointing.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Bosch KGN27NWEAG Freestanding Fridge Freezer - White: No. KGN27NWEAG has one manual thermostat inside the fridge which adjusts the freezer too. If two separate thermostats are required, I recommend models KGN34NWEAG or KGN33NWEBG.
