To fill these mills, unscrew the metal top and then remove the top portion; Fill the mill then replace the top portion and screw the metal top back on.

The Habitat Acacia Wood Salt and Pepper Mill - Black is a stylish addition to your kitchen. Here’s how you can fill it:
Unscrew the metal top. This will allow you to access the interior.
Once the top is off, remove the wooden cover. This will expose the grinding mechanism inside.
Fill the mill with your choice of salt (such as sea salt, Himalayan salt, or Celtic salt) or black peppercorns. You can adjust the grind size according to your preference.
Put the wooden cover back in place and screw the metal top back on.
