The Ashwell Dining Table is built to grow with your household, switching from a compact two-seater to a four-seater without taking up permanent floor space. The solid oak frame provides lasting stability, while the oak veneer top brings natural grain patterns and country character to your dining area. The butterfly extension folds away beneath the table when not needed, so there's no separate leaf to store.
The extension mechanism is straightforward to use. Pull each end of the table apart, flip the centre panel up, and unfold it into place to add length. The oak finish protects the wood and wipes clean after meals. Reinforced legs keep everything stable when extended. Absolutely love this oak table, the quality is second to none. Easily assembled, however it's very heavy and it needs two people to move it. We couldn't have got anything better for the price, thank you Argos š

Fantastic bit of space saving furniture
Great table very sturdy feeling and looks fantastic in our space. The extending mechanism is easy to use and changes the table into a lovely oval shape. I would say 4 people can use it non-extended but if hosting / using serving plates for 4 people also the extension comes in handy. Very heavy package so needs more than one person to move prior to set up.

Great value solid oak
I bought this a month ago as I wanted a table that I could extend for Christmas and make smaller throughout the year. This table does just that. Every part is solid oak and fit with all my other furniture perfectly. Very easy to assemble. Extends easily making it quick and easy when entertaining. Solid structure needing 2 people to move it.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Argos Home Ashwell Extending 4 Seater Dining Table: this table is suitable for 4 people, but as it is extandable to be 145cm long, 6 people whom sit closely which is possible.
