'Nice'
Really love the glass jug as I am not fond of plastics and it looks so much nicer and cleans better, just wish the filters removed even more of the nasties in my water though water does taste better.

Glass water filter jug
I bought the BRITA glass water filter jug because I thought it would be a better option than having a plastic jug. However, I was disappointed to find that the inner filter section is still made of plastic, which somewhat defeats the purpose for me. I’ll keep it as I paid almost half price for it, but I couldn’t justify paying £60 for it. That said, I do think the glass jug will be easier to keep clean and hygienic compared with a plastic one.

Good improvement
Attractive jug. Easier to clean than plastic one. Fits in the fridge better. Good pourer.

Great jug
Whoever is complaining it's slow, has very little patience obviously. It doesn't have the flow to immediately feed you a litre of water. But for my painful wrists it's just the right size, and lid and beak are so much better than the previous Brita jugs I had. Glass is better for sure

Glass jar dosent feel like glass
Product is good however glass feels plasticy, seems to be a mix of glass and plastic rather than pure glass. The jug is also round and too bulky to fit in fridge door. Also filter is not perfect but it seems to do ok.

Filtered water storage on the small side
I bought the glass jug as I am hoping it will be easier to clean in our hard water area. We had the Marella XL which not only holds more filtered water, but also allows you to pour the water at a decent rate. This is where the glass jug stops me from saying it’s perfect, as the pouring of filtered water is slow and it doesn’t in my opinion hold enough filtered water. However, it is much easier to clean and so far, no scratches or issues. Yes I’d recommend, but just hope there is a slightly larger version in the future.

Clean, stylish design
The clean, stylish design looks good on the counter. Pale green colours, superb. As the outer is glass, quite heavy when full.

Hello ,Guy
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the BRITA Glass Water Filter Jug Light Blue 2.5L: Some coarse particles or residues may come from old water pipes into tap water. Particles can reliably be filtered out by a MAXTRA PRO filter - down to a size of 0.03mm which is so small that it is invisible to the human eye.
BRITA MAXTRA PRO cartridges are designed to improve the taste and appearance of water. The MAXTRA PRO will reduce limescale, chlorine, lead and copper from the water, these reduction amounts can vary depending on the water quality in your area.
We can confirm with the MAXTRA PRO, the reduction rates for metals (including lead) are at least 90% and for chlorine 80% that conform to DIN EN 17093.
Thank you for using Q&A.
