I bought this jug a couple months ago and its been great. I've noticed the difference in the taste of the water comparing to the plastic one ive used prior and i can say for sure that the glass brita jug is way much better. It is also very stylish and I enjoy how it fits in ny kitchen. Really great product which I highly recommend

I'm really pleased with our new glass water filter jug. It's easy to clean and I'm more comfortable storing filtered water in a glass rather than plastic vessel. We have a tiled worktop and I'm concerned that if I plonk the jug down I might crack it, so I'm storing it on a wooden bread board. I guess you only find out how tough glass is when you break it!

Really happy with this purchase
I bought this after my plastic one started to go mouldy no matter how well it was washed or disinfected, I think the plastic degrades after a while. Decided I’d try a glass one and so far it’s been brilliant, it seems more robust than it looks, I’ve knocked it on the tap a few times without causing any damage. I’ve had to move the shelf in the fridge to accommodate it as it’ doesn’t fit in the door … oh and the little light to warn you when to change the filter just seems to flash random green or red so I’m guessing it’s not working so it’s been removed! As always with Brita you get nice water without any taste! Wouldn’t be without one!

Good quality Brita jug
Good quality jug but the inside container for the filter and unfiltered water is made of plastic which isn't clear from the listing. Not a big deal but thought good to point out.

Glass Filter Jug
Very nice jug and well made. One down side is that’s it’s too wide to fit in our fridge door, but we’ve got around that by using a smaller glass jug that we fill from the Brita.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the BRITA Glass Water Filter Jug Light Blue 2.5L: Some coarse particles or residues may come from old water pipes into tap water. Particles can reliably be filtered out by a MAXTRA PRO filter - down to a size of 0.03mm which is so small that it is invisible to the human eye.
BRITA MAXTRA PRO cartridges are designed to improve the taste and appearance of water. The MAXTRA PRO will reduce limescale, chlorine, lead and copper from the water, these reduction amounts can vary depending on the water quality in your area.
We can confirm with the MAXTRA PRO, the reduction rates for metals (including lead) are at least 90% and for chlorine 80% that conform to DIN EN 17093.
