It’s a water filter
Our water has just been reclassified from hard to very hard so we bought this to filter the water to reduce limescale build up. Good deal at Argos. Think it does what it says on the box. Easy to fill with an ergonomically designed handle and fits in the fridge door. Good capacity and transparent so can see the water level being filtered. Made of plastic so fairly durable.

So pleased I bought this, have thought about it for a long time and was buying endless bottles of water as ours is very hard limescale water. After 1 day my quality of water for drinking etc has improved 100%. Definitely recommend getting one of these.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the BRITA Marella Water Filter Jug Blue 2.4L: In order for the cartridge to perform effectively all contents need to be fully hydrated with water and any air bubbles need to be released. In order to do this please follow the below steps.
-Wash the jug thoroughly, taking care not to get water on the electronic indicator.
- Half fill your kitchen sink or a deep bowl with cold water and no detergent.
-Give the cartridge a good shake from side to side under water to remove any excess air.
- Remove cartridge from water and firmly insert into jug funnel.
-Fill the funnel with cold tap water and allow to filter through, discard the filtered water.
-Repeat last step
- Reset electronic indicator on top of jug – please see next page for indicator types.
- Your water is now ready to enjoy.
