Wil not fit inside small frige
I have been using Brita Filter Jugs for years no problem bought this one cause it was cheap. The only drawback is that is does not fit into my fridge door. I did not check the size so beware it prob wont fit into a small fridge anywhere. Prob the reason it was so cheap. Apart from that its ok.

The water gets trapped underneath the filter no matter how much I push it in. I have to take filter out everytime to tip the water out before every fill. Useless filter.

Good for hard water
great product if you have hard water. Useful flip lid for filling compared to smaller models.Can be heavy to lift when full.

No overflow of unfiltered water
Bought this to replace a smaller jug filter (not Brita) which had, frustratingly, poured water everywhere if water remained in the top section. The larger size means we always have enough filtered water ready for use and the design means that there is no overflow from the top. Should have changed sooner!

The supplier has advised the following for the BRITA Marella XL Water Filter Jug White 3.5L:
"The BRITA filter is not designed to reduce sodium, which is often added to the water through a softener system.
However, the World Health Organisation and Department of Health recommend the use of a separate unsoftened supply for drinking water with softened water systems."

"We refrain from publishing exact performance numbers, as every water is different and therefore, reduction values can differ from consumer to consumer slightly. We can confirm with MAXTRA PRO, the reduction rates for metals (including lead) are at least 90%."

Thanks for your query about the BRITA Marella XL Water Filter Jug White 3.5L.
This is designed to work with a BRITA MAXTRA PRO filter. Those filters are independently tested to reduce PFAS (Tested according to EN 17093). It won't remove 100% but it will reduce this.

BRITA Marella XL Water Filter Jug White 3.5L 308/6306 This does remove some iron from the water but not all of it. There are specific iron filters for removing iron specifically.
