One For All SV9420 Curved Amplified Indoor TV Aerial: ''The suitability of a digital terrestrial aerial is mostly given from distances of the signal transmission towers.
Other aspects to take into consideration are the environmental conditions.
In an apartment or loft, it might be possible that the walls or the other apartments surrounding, do have metal in the structure. This will block/disturb the reception of the signal.''

I can advise the One For All SV9420 Curved Amplified Indoor TV Aerial will work without an outdoor aerial. This works of your nearest transmitter so this maybe worth checking where this is when in your touring caravan as it could affect the signal strength.
