Had lots of vinyl records from the past and wanted to get a system back to listen to them again and took a while to decide which player to go with and chose the Audio Technica as its direct drive and has the same features as my old technics and I’m glad I paid the little extra to get this model well worth it and great quality!

Hello Bike Mad Mick,
The Audio-Technica AT-LP120XUSBBK Direct-Drive Turntable - Black, can connect to an amplifier using phono plugs, as it includes a selectable phono preamplifier. However, it does not support Toslink (optical) connections. You would need to use the phono output or USB connection for compatibility with your Onkyo amplifier.

Hello Richard,
From the information we have available, I can advise The Audio-Technica AT-LP120XUSBBK Direct-Drive Turntable does not have an automatic feature to find the right start position on the record. It is a fully manual turntable, which means you need to manually place the stylus arm at the beginning of the record.
It does come with a range of professional features, such as adjustable dynamic anti-skate control, a balanced S-shaped tonearm with hydraulically damped lift control, and a high-accuracy quartz-controlled pitch lock.
