It has given us a great deal more light than our old bathroom light.

Bright enough for a small utility room.
All plastic but is easier to fit that other brands because the house wiring can be brought into the underside of the housing and then screwed into the connection points after screwing the housing to the ceiling. I Would have preferred a cooler colour though! The only downside is that the translucent shade is a twist fit into the housing which is difficult to grip (as both halves are round) to separate the two halves prior to fitting. However, once the housing (baseplate) is screwed to the ceiling, it is easier to twist the translucent shade off, although you won’t need to do that until you want to replace the whole thing!

Bought 2 of these to replace some very old but also large ones. Found the brightness and colour perfect. Little fiddly to fit but worth the effort

The difference is that Cat no 3033012 is hard-wired into electrics, whereas Cat no 3127980 is mains powered plug in.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Philips Doris LED Bathroom Flush to Ceiling Light - White: ''As this product is a hard wired item it doesn’t matter what switch is used to turn on the power, this will work with both a pull cord and switch setting.''
