All plastic but is easier to fit that other brands because the house wiring can be brought into the underside of the housing and then screwed into the connection points after screwing the housing to the ceiling. I Would have preferred a cooler colour though! The only downside is that the translucent shade is a twist fit into the housing which is difficult to grip (as both halves are round) to separate the two halves prior to fitting. However, once the housing (baseplate) is screwed to the ceiling, it is easier to twist the translucent shade off, although you won’t need to do that until you want to replace the whole thing!

Having checked I can see you would need to register this on the manufacturers website and upload your proof of purchase to activate this.
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Philips Doris LED Bathroom Flush to Ceiling Light - White: ''As this product is a hard wired item it doesn’t matter what switch is used to turn on the power, this will work with both a pull cord and switch setting.''
The Philips Doris LED Bathroom Flush to Ceiling Light - White is moisture resistant, making it suitable for bathrooms. However it isn't suitable to be connected to a bathroom fan.
All light fittings must be fitted in accordance with wiring regulations from the Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE) and current building regulations. We recommend you employ a qualified electrician and that manufacturer's fitting instructions are followed.
