Writing I bought this to replace my old blender, separate food processor, and a smoothie maker, and it’s honestly been a great decision. It’s saved me so much cupboard space having everything in one machine, and it just makes the kitchen feel less cluttered. It’s brilliant for smoothies — that’s probably what I use it for the most — and it blends everything really smoothly, even things like seeds. I’m quite funny with textures, and this has been a bit of a game changer for me because there’s no bits or grainy texture left behind. I’ve also used it for loads of other things like chopping veg for salads and making soups, and it handles everything really well. It’s powerful, quick, and you can tell it’s a good quality machine. The suction on the bottom is a really good feature too, it keeps it firmly in place while it’s running which makes it feel a lot safer and avoids any movement or spills. Cleaning it is surprisingly easy as well, which is a big plus. Most parts rinse off easily and don’t take loads of effort, which makes you more likely to actually use it regularly. The only downside for me is the blades — they are very, very sharp. While that’s great for performance, it does make them a bit awkward to store safely, especially with multiple attachments. I’d love to see some kind of blade guard or even a storage bag included, as well as a better overall storage solution for all the extra parts. Aside from that, I really can’t fault it. Replacing three separate appliances with this one has made things so much simpler, and it’s something I use all the time now without even thinking about it.

This blender does not have a coffee grinder attachment and is not suitable for grinding coffee. However, it is suitable for grinding dry spices.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Ninja Detect Power Blender & Processor Pro TB401UK: Our Ninja Blender & Processor TB401UK can be used for slicing or shredding. Using the reversible disc, you can get thin slices of cucumber or shredded carrots.
However, please kindly note that it may be more difficult for you to grate carrots - as these tend to be tougher than cucumber.
