Needs adjusting for a good nights sleep 💤
I needed to remove one of the layers from the pillow for a reasonable night’s sleep 🛌 and it needed to be moulded into shape to allow for proper support whilst sleeping, and although I find it very firm for my liking, I do tend to sleep better than I normally do. Due to my having spondylitis of the neck I always use a shaped pillow under my head at night and the Emma pillow on top. That’s why I needed to remove the central layer of the pillow to achieve a more relaxed sleep position.

if it's real memory foam, the foam probably has bad memory. Even though you can take layer 1-2 layers off the foams, it just isn't quite right.

No, the Emma Original Memory Foam Firm Pillow does not have a blue layer. It has three foam layers: a gel memory foam layer, a visco memory foam layer, and an HRX foam layer. The gel memory foam layer is white, the visco memory foam layer is grey, and the HRX foam layer is black. You can remove any of these layers to adjust the height and firmness of the pillow.
