Small but excellent quality.
I have been using this with my work laptop for a couple of weeks now. I find it so easy to use and it’s such a relief that you don’t have to mess around installing drivers for it to work. You just plug it into the laptop and then add your other source, so easy. It feels solid and is of excellent quality. Compact and light enough to fit in my laptop bag without realising as well. The output and input quality is brilliant, it doesn’t take anything away from the sound or visual quality when using this product.

Perfect for a Mac Book
Recently bought a Mac Book Pro and needed something with a usb c. This came up and jumped at the chance. It has HDMI 2.0 port capable of 4K resolution at 60 Hz, a USB-A 3.2 Gen1 port, and a USB-C port which supports USB-C PD 3.0 power delivery on the back. It has two more USB-A 3.2 Gen1 ports as well as an SD card reader and a microSD card reader as well as Ethernet jack capable on the side of it. This makes it perfect for charging my mac book, connecting my drone plus having a memory card in the reader for when i am editing my drone video's. The hub is encased in metal and it does get quite warm but not too warm to touch. The hub is small, If you’re using this on the go it will easily fit into a backpack or a briefcase. I am more than happy with it and woukd definitely recommend it.

Superb, easy to use, with lots of connectivity
Super bit of compact kit for adding portable connectivity to almost any device with a USB-C socket. Works with almost any operating system and doesn’t require any installation or updating, just plug it in and it works. At just 10cm it’s really dinky and at 85g weight it can be taken anywhere. It has a captive USB-C connection lead of 20cm. It’s really smart and well made in a lovely silver aluminium casing. It has a two year manufacturer’s guarantee from Kensington. The packaging is fully recyclable. It features both full size and micro SD slots, an Ethernet connection, three USB-A ports, one USB-C port and a 4K HDMI port which runs at 60HZ. I’ve been using this with my Chromebook but it also works with Windows PCs, android phones, Mac OS and iPad OS as long as you have a USB-C socket on your device. It couldn’t be simpler to use, you plug it in and it works, highly recommended! :)

Cool way to add extra ports to a laptop
Great device if looking for an easily portable USB-C mobile hub that makes your laptop able to add extra devices. On top of the fact it is universally comparable, this device features the following ports 3 USB-A, 1 USB-C, ethernet, micro & stand SD readers. I use it plugged into my laptop to add a second monitor, printer and additional keyboard. You can also buy a power supply adapter plug if you want to power from a plug. Really handy device highly recommend

Compact and easy to use
This little hub is easy to use with no setting up involved just plug in and use. Perfect for home/office working, I just pop it in my bag when I have to go to the office. I have found that this is much easier and more efficient than the more expensive hub provided by my work. Also good for personal use as I was able to insert my SD card and transferred my photos to my computer without issue.

Connectivity Problem Solver !
The first thing that I noticed was how compact this product is, it easily fits in the palm of your hand so ideal for use on the move. The unit comes into its own if you have a laptop fitted with a USB Type C connector but not fitted with an ethernet port, USB A sockets, SD card, Micro SD card and a full size HDMI socket. The USB C is also available to replace that taken up when using the unit. No drivers are required making it suitable for use with all types of operating systems commonly used on portable devices. In use no problems have been experienced using any of the connections or ports in conjunction with a compact Chromebook. Highly recommended if you have one of these to add additional connectivity wherever you are.

Hello Kindhonneychicken,
I can advise the following for the Kensington UH1400P 8 Port USB Hub:
This converts a USB-C port to allow the other connections to work that are built into the hub. As this isn't powered via an external source you will be limited to power output from the USB-C port it's connected too. But all other features will work.
