Expensive but Quality
As all Apple products it costs way more than alternative products, but you get what you pay for in quality and device compatibility.

Does what it is supposed to but very expensive!
This was bought to project iPad music text for a group. It is very simple to use and works well but and this is a big but, it is vastly overpriced and typical of Apple products. Reluctantly other makes appear to not be stable and can have glitches. So reluctantly if you need to project your iPad to a tv or via a projector then you have very little choice. So recommending it is done reluctantly.

Works perfectly
I bought this so that I could watch videos from my iPhone on a Samsung television which doesn’t have an airplay feature. Previously I had bought a cheaper version which also worked but videos would keep ‘blanking out’ whilst using it. The price of this item is a bit steep but it does the job I need it to do and charges your phone at the same time. Be aware that you will need an HDMI cable to go with it too

Over priced and doesn’t function as advertised
Supposed to allow you to charge your Mac and connect a device at the same time but if it is connected to a charger in the usbc port it doesn’t register the connected device.

Another desirable Apple product
I really don't know how Apple do it you know. They take something so mundane and redesign it to look so desirable and make it so expensive that you just have to have it. But that is great marketing I guess. This item is an ideal neccessity if like me you need additional interconnects on your Mac Book, especially the HDMI port. If you have a Mac mini or some such then save your money and get something else. That being said, it just works, looks sleek and being Apple will always have resale value.
