Great for young explorers!
Great size and weight for younger kids to explore and discover by themselves. We have used at the beach, garden, woods, parks and in the house. We have founds lots of random things! Would recommend.

A Fantastic little Gadget, a god send!
I found myself purchasing this children's metal detector to try and find my wedding ring that I lost while gardening! We had filled our bin with grass cuttings and the moss raked up out of the garden. I realised my wedding ring had dropped off, as last year had it made bigger but my fingers get cold and shrink again, hence losing my ring. I have been married for over 40 yrs so didn't want to lose it! Anyway, we emptied the grass and moss out of the bin and layed it on the lawn and scanned the ground with the metal detector and low and behold after a good 15mins it actually beeped! Well, we were elated that it picked up the ring, as you couldn't see it amongst the clippings and moss. So what a brilliant little gadget! Three cheers for the kiddies metal detector. Yeh!!!

Not recommended
I bought this one,I have opened the box in the shop,and found it pet hair on detector . Asked the ldy to change it woth new one as I saw after that the box on the other side has different tape (which you can see was opened before). They said is the last one. I took it as it was as my son wanted and ended up next day to return as was faulty .It starts to beep suddenly and continue as it found any metal which it wasn't any metal around . Do not recommend
